Love. When we feel connected in our partnerships there is nothing more beautiful and wonderful. Unfortunately, in life, we often find ourselves feeling disconnected, misunderstood and unhappy in our most important relationship. It is my belief that reconnection and sustainable, joyful relationships are possible. To that end, I utilize an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach in my work with couples. EFT is an empirically validated model developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, author of Hold Me Tight and Love Sense. The model works from a place of healing broken attachments between partners and building new patterns of connection for a lifetime of sustained love.

I have completed both the 4-day Externship and Core Skills Advanced Trainings in EFT and participate in regular consultation with Dr. Silvina Irwin of the EFT Resource Center in Pasadena, CA.

Parenting can be one of the most joyful and fulfilling experiences of our lives. It can also be emotionally draining, frustrating and exhausting. In a day-and-age when parenting philosophies and opinions on parenting abound, it can be difficult to decide which approach works best for you. Whether you are in a place of needing some direction for the day-to-day experiences of parenting or have a special challenge you are dealing with in the moment, I can help. I utilize a unique collaborative and individualized approach to helping you attain the family balance you desire.

Who we are and how we engage with the world are much stronger predictors of how our children will do than what we know about parenting.
